If the outer orange cover is cut, the inner red cover becomes immediately visible, a signal to remove the sling from service.

The sling cover has been specifically constructed to consist of two complete and separate slings in one. Each path makes its own connection between the lifting hook and the load, a unique back-up system designed to provide sufficient reaction time for its user to maintain the load should damage to one of the paths ever go undetected.
